Xpillar Mobile App
The Xpillar marketplace in a pocket: a published iOS and Android app with owner-verified listings, search and filters across every Malaysian state, full listing details, an agent directory with languages spoken, and buying guides — all against the same backend as the web surfaces.
Case study
Property ecosystem — mobile application · 2025
The starting point
The problem this system was built to solve.
Property browsing happens in spare moments, and Malaysian buyers live on their phones. The Xpillar app — live on the App Store and Google Play — brings the true-listing marketplace to mobile without forking the data: it reads the same canonical listings as the website.
The app keeps the ecosystem’s promises intact on a small screen: owner-verified listings stay labelled, each property still appears once, and the agent directory carries the details that matter in Malaysia — including which languages an agent works in.
Who uses it
The people the system serves.
Buyers and tenants
Browse owner-verified and residential rails on the home screen, search, filter, and favourite properties on the go.
Property owners
Reach the same verified-listing channel from the app’s home surface.
Agents
Get discovered through the in-app directory — profile, specialisation, and languages spoken.
The workflow
How work moves through it.
- 1
The app opens to home rails: Owner Verified (direct from owners) and Residential, each card carrying the canonical price and location.
- 2
Search runs across the full inventory; the filter sheet narrows by sale/rent, category (residential / commercial / industrial / agricultural), and every Malaysian state.
- 3
A listing opens to full detail — price, address, tenure, and property specifics — identical to the website’s canonical record.
- 4
The agent directory lists agents with the languages they work in; a profile shows specialisation area and background.
- 5
News and buying guides (e.g. what to check before renting a warehouse) are readable in-app.
What we designed
Structure before screens.
- A home screen that leads with the marketplace’s differentiator — the Owner Verified rail sits first.
- Filters that mirror how Malaysians actually narrow property: category and state chips, not free-text gymnastics.
- Agent profiles built for a multilingual market: languages spoken are surfaced at directory level.
What we developed
The engineering behind it.
- The cross-platform mobile app, published on the App Store and Google Play.
- Live search, filtering, listing detail, favourites, agents, and news against the shared platform backend.
- The same true-listing data model as every other surface — no mobile-only copies of properties.
Key modules
Inside the system
Screens from the shipped build.
Shown in the order a user actually moves through the system. Published with the client’s agreement — client data comes first, and only approved screens appear here. Read more about how we protect data in our privacy policy.
Technical constraints
What shaped the build.
One backend serves web and mobile — the app renders canonical listings, never a diverging mobile copy.
Industrial-scale content (acreage, tenders, zoning) had to stay legible on phone-sized listing pages.
Store distribution meant the app had to stand alone: browsing, filtering, and discovery work without ever touching the website.
Where it landed
The outcome, stated plainly.
We report what the system does in operation — not metrics we can’t verify.
- The marketplace is installed on buyers’ phones through both major app stores, reading the same true-listing inventory as the web.
- Owner-verified properties keep their labelled, first-class placement on mobile.
- Agents gain a mobile discovery channel with the details Malaysian clients filter by — area, specialisation, and language.
In the client’s words
“The team at Noctverse is positive, easy to work with, and always willing to help despite our budget constraints. They didn't just build our system — they also helped us rethink our business processes and suggested practical workflows that will support our growth in the long run.”
